NBL Round 5: Anhui W. rally past Xinjiang

This is still too early stage of the Regular Season in CBL and we should expect many changes in upcoming rounds. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Anhui W. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Anhui W. smashed leader Xinjiang at home 136-85. Anhui W. have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Guangxi. Xinjiang at the other side still keeps top with three games lost. They share the position with Luoyang and Jiangsu YS. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Henan's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Jiangsu YS (0-3) 100-86. Henan (1-2) left bottom position moving up to eighth place. It was Jiangsu YS's third loss in a row. Newly promoted team still keeps top with three games lost. They share the position with Xinjiang and Luoyang. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Bottom-ranked Luoyang is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their third consecutive match to leader Guangxi (3-0) 97-89 on Thursday evening. Guangxi have a solid series of three victories in a row. They used an opportunity after Anhui W. lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position which they share with defeated Luoyang. Loser Luoyang still keeps top with three games lost. They share the position with Xinjiang and Jiangsu YS. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
