Dong's 28 points give him NBL Player of the Week award

Jian Dong

24-year old swingman Jian Dong (193-F/G-96) had a great game in the last round for Shaanxi and receives a Hoops Agents NBL Player of the Week award for round 19.
He had the game-high 28 points adding three rebounds and three assists for Shaanxi in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Hebei (#10, 2-16) with 33-point margin 127-94. Shaanxi maintains the 3rd position in Chinese NBL. They are still close to the very top. Shaanxi would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 15-3 record. Dong has many years of experience at Shaanxi, through which he has constantly improved. Jian Dong averages this season 12.3ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Tang Zihao (191-G-96) of Foshan. He is a guard in his first season at Foshan. In the last game Zihao recorded impressive 29 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Foshan lost that game 97-106 to the higher-ranked Anhui W. (#2, 16-2). This loss caused Foshan to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Zihao is a newcomer at Foshan and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Xiangbo Li (203-F-99) of league's second-best Anhui W.. Li showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Anhui W., leading his team to a 106-97 win against the lower-ranked Foshan (#6, 9-9). Anhui W. is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 16-2 record is not that bad... Li has a great season in China. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.6ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 7.9rpg (2nd best).
