Franklin re-signs at Brave Dragons

Jamaal Franklin

Shanxi Zhongyu (CBA) confirmed in their roster 29-year old American shooting guard Jamaal Franklin (196-93kg-91, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports). He was a team leader there last season. In 27 CBA games he had very impressive stats: 30.1ppg, 9.5rpg, 10.1apg (leader !!!), 2.3spg and 1.4bpg. Great season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week (2 times).
In 2013 Franklin was drafted by Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) in second round (41st overall). The former San Diego State University standout is in his eighth season in pro basketball.
Franklin is quite experienced player. He has played in five different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Franklin has played previously professionally in Puerto Rico (Brujos), NBA (Denver Nuggets), China (Guandong Tigers, Blue Whales and Zhejiang Guangsha Lions), NBA G League (South Bay Lakers and Fort Wayne Mad Ants) and NBA Summer League (Toronto Raptors).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Franklin's team made it to the MWC Tournament Semifinals in 2013. He was also voted NABC Division I All-District 17 1st Team between 2012 and 2013 at his college time.
