Quimsa Santiago del Estero (La Liga) signed 30-year old American shooting guard Brandon Robinson (198-91kg-89, college: Clayton & State). He played this summer at Hebei Xianglan in Chinese NBL league. Robinson managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 16 NBL games he had very impressive stats: 41.9ppg, 9.3rpg, 5.3apg and 2.6spg. He was also named League Player of the Week. The last season he played at Las Animas (Liga Nacional) in Chilean league where in 32 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 23.0ppg, 6.8rpg, 3.8apg and 2.4spg. Quite impressive season as he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Guard of the Year, named to 1st Team and also here League Player of the Week. Robinson also played 6 games in Liga Americas where he averaged high stats: 22.8ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3spg.
Robinson is quite experienced player. He has played in five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Robinson has played previously professionally in Canada (The Storm and Windsor Express), Germany (Chemnitz and Crailsheim Merlins), Chile (Osorno and Osorno Basquetbol), SEBL (Marietta O.) and The Basketball Tournament (Team DRC).
He attended Clayton & State until 2011 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
Robinson could be described: Mr. Quickness. Vary fast. Many steals. You'd better not leave him any space. Run on the basket very well. Very 'tricky' shots.
Can get 3-pointer. Sometimes relies too much on his long-distance shot
.
