DOMINIQUE JONES

American Guard Dominique Jones (193-G-88) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Guangxi, receiving a Interperformances NBL Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 30-year old player got a double-double of 49 points and 12 assists, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Hebei X. (#11, 0-1) with 21-point margin 120-99. Thanks to this victory Guangxi moved-up to the 2nd position in Chinese NBL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Guangxi won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Jones had a remarkable 63.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Guangxi and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Former University of South Florida star has very solid stats this year. Jones is league's best scorer averaging so far 49.0ppg and is league's best passer with 12.0apg. Jones is in league's top in and averages impressive 63.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 33-year old American Taylor Rochestie (185-PG-85) of league's leader Anhui W.. Rochestie had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 12 assists. Of course he led Anhui W. to another comfortable win outscoring Hefei (0-1) 146-117. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Rochestie is one of the most experienced players at Anhui W. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.0ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 8.0rpg and 12.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American Mike Harris (198-SF-83) of Henan (#4). Harris showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, nineteen rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Henan, leading his team to a 123-97 easy win against Luoyang (#13, 0-1). Henan has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Harris also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Harris as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Elijah Holman (208-F/C-89) of Anhui W. - 27 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists
5. O.J. Mayo (193-G-87) of Hunan - 40 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Brandon Robinson (198-SG-89) of Hebei X. - 37 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Chris Otule (211-C-90) of Guizhou - 22 points and 19 rebounds
8. Anthony Tucker (193-G-89) of Hefei - 32 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists
9. Ater Majok (208-C-87) of Shaanxi X. - 21 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
