The Regular Season in NBL just started. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Hefei (0-1) in Nanjin on Monday night. Hosts were rolled over by Anhui W. (1-0) 146-117. The game without a history. Anhui W. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Hefei's 52 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Anhui W. looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. American-Montenegrin point guard Taylor Rochestie (185-85, college: WSU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners and American power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 27 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). At the losing side American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anhui W. is looking forward to face Wuhan (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Hefei will play against Luoyang and is hoping to win this game.
Very significant was Hunan's 26-point road victory against Anhui P. 121-95. American guard OJ Mayo (193-87, college: USC) nailed 40 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Liam McMorrow accounted for 22 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American guard Steph Hicks (198-92, college: CS Northridge) came up with 38 points (!!!) for Anhui P. in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hunan will play against Guangxi on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Anhui P. will have a break next round.
Quite upsetting was Hebei X.'s 21-point home defeat in a game versus Guangxi who smashed hosts Dominique Jones fired a double-double by scoring 49 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. Brandon Robinson produced 37 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guangxi will meet at home Hunan (#5) in the next round. Hebei X. will play against Guizhou and hope to win that game.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Xian. host Shaanxi X. (1-0) smashed Chongqing (0-1) 119-87. Worth to mention a great performance of Ater Majok who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Shaanxi X.'s next round opponent will be Henan (#4) on the road. Chongqing will play against Beijing (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Guizhou. host Guizhou (1-0) smashed Beijing (0-1) 123-103. Chris Otule stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. Guizhou's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. In the last game of round 1 winless Luoyang lost to undefeated Henan on the opponent's court 97-123.

2019-20 CBA Changes - 3 hours ago
down
The 2019-20 CBA season is expected to have some significant rule changes that will directly affect the level of players signing in what has been one of the top leagues, as far as money is concerned, at least. The CBA has ratified a standard contract that essentially makes EVERY contract non-guaranteed at least for the first two months, the silver lining for players/agents is that the CBA season traditionally starts so late, that 90% of the non guaranteed portion will be satisfied before...   [read more]
