Shenzhen rallied past Beijing to force the decisive fifth game in the series. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import point guard Kenny Boynton (188-91, college: Florida, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who added 26 points during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Xiaochuan Zhai (205-93) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and Croatian-American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Beijing Ducks' coach Giannis Christopoulos rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.

Guangsha L. - Xinjiang FT 95-111

Xinjiang knocked down Guangsha to seal their semifinal berth. Xinjiang Flying Tige dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' 40. They outrebounded Zhejiang Guangsha Lions 48-33 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Xinjiang Flying Tige players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Kay Felder (175-95, college: Oakland) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 assists and the other American import forward Jarnell Stokes (201-94, college: Tennessee) supported him with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Even 31 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists by American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas) did not help to save the game for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Sun Minghui added 23 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Xinjiang Joins Guangdong in 2018-19 CBA Finals - 7 days ago
Xinjiang punched their ticket to the CBA finals, in a rematch of the 2016-17 Finals in which they swept Guangdong 4-0 to claim the clubs first CBA Championship.
