Guangdong stormed past Jiangsu to open 2-0 advantage. Guandong Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 90 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu Dragons' 34. Guandong Tigers forced 20 Jiangsu Dragons turnovers and outrebounded them 48-21 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guandong Tigers players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Jiangsu Dragons' players. American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) notched a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) supported him with 24 points and 6 assists. Guandong Tigers' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) did not help to save the game for Jiangsu Dragons.
