Ty Lawson
TY LAWSON

American Point guard Ty Lawson (180-PG-87) had a very impressive game in the last round for Shandong GS, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 45.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (54 points, two rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Shanxi Z. (#14, 16-28) 137-128. Shandong GS maintains the 8th position in Chinese CBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shandong GS will need more victories to improve their 25-20 record. In the team's last game Lawson had a remarkable 85.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Shandong GS's top player in his first season with the team. Ty Lawson averages this season 27.1ppg and 9.2apg.

The second best player in last round's games was 23-year old American Dakari Johnson (213-C/F-95) of Qingdao E.. Johnson had a very good evening with a double-double of 33 points and 18 rebounds. Of course he led Qingdao E. to another comfortable win 117-101 over the higher-ranked Liaoning FL (#2, 37-7) being unquestionably team leader. Qingdao E.'s 15th position in the standings has not changed. 32 lost games are too many comparing to just thirteen victories Qingdao E. managed to get this year. Johnson is a newcomer at Qingdao E., but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American swingman Ricky Ledo (201-F/G-92) of Beijing Dragons (#20). Ledo got into 30-points club by scoring 53 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . Despite Ledo's great performance Beijing Dragons lost 106-144 to the higher-ranked Fujian S. (#7, 26-18). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Beijing Dragons can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 8-36 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Ledo he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Ledo has a very solid season. In 12 games in China he scored 31.5ppg. He also has 8.8rpg, 4.8apg and FGP: 51.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Maciej Lampe (211-C/F-85) of Jilin NE T. - 41 points and 14 rebounds
5. Jarnell Stokes (201-F-94) of Xinjiang FT - 33 points and 16 rebounds
6. Andrew Nicholson (206-PF-89) of Fujian S. - 36 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Darius Adams (188-PG-89) of Xinjiang FT - 37 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists
8. Donatas Motiejunas (213-F/C-90) of Shandong GS - 41 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Kyle Fogg (190-PG-90) of Guangzhou LL - 36 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists
