Nantes sign Rachel Hollivay, ex Liaoning

RACHEL HOLLIVAY

Nantes Reze Basket (LFB) signed 25-year old American center Rachel Hollivay (196-93, college: Rutgers). She started the season at Liaoning in Chinese WCBA. In 20 games she had 10.8ppg, 9.4rpg, 1.3apg and 2.2bpg this season. Hollivay ended the last season at another team Atlanta in U.S. semi-pro league. Good season as she was named League Player of the Week. But the most of that year she spent at Leones in Ecuadorian league where in 9 games she recorded 12.8ppg, 10.8rpg, 1.6apg and 2.9bpg. Hollivay helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league.
Three years ago she was drafted by Atlanta Dream (WNBA) in second round (13th overall).
The former Rutgers, The State University staris in her third season in pro basketball.
She was voted Big Ten All-Defensive Team back in 2016 at her college time.
Hollivay is quite experienced player. She has played on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Hollivay has played previously professionally in Montenegro (Buducnost), Spain (CREF Hola), Turkey (Girne Universitesi) and South Korea (Blue Minx).
