The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Bottom-ranked Fly Dragons managed to get a eighth victory, breaking the series of fifteen consecutive losses on Thursday night. This time they edged sixth-ranked Beijing Ducks 104-102. Fly Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Beijing Ducks' 38. American swingman Ricky Ledo (201-92, college: Providence) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import Thomas Robinson (208-91, college: Kansas) contributed with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) answered with 28 points and 9 assists for Beijing Ducks. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fly Dragons maintains twentieth place with 8-32 record. Beijing Ducks at the other side keep the sixth position with 14 games lost. Fly Dragons are looking forward to face higher ranked Gold Lions (#19) in Tianjin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Beijing Ducks will play on the road against Xinjiang Flying Tige (#5) in Urumqi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
CBA top team - Flying Leopards (35-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (19-21) in Yingkou 119-96. American forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Ailun Guo chipped in 22 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) responded with 29 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flying Leopards have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 35-5 record, which they share with Guangdong ST. Jiangsu Dragons at the other side keep the thirteenth position with 21 games lost. Flying Leopards will play against Leopards (#3) in Shenzhen in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Jiangsu Dragons will play at home against Jilin Tigers (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Jinjiang was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (26-13) played at the court of seventh ranked Sturgeons (23-17). Sturgeons did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 117-98 on Friday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Xinjiang Flying Tige. Zhelin Wang nailed a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 19 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Sturgeons' coach ShiLong Zhu used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Darius Adams came up with 31 points and 6 rebounds for Xinjiang Flying Tige in the defeat. Sturgeons have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 23-17 record. Loser Xinjiang Flying Tige keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. Sturgeons will meet at home Blue Whales (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play against Beijing Ducks (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very interesting game took place in Ningbo. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Jilin Tigers (19-20) to eighteenth ranked Bayi Rockets (10-30) 124-123 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The best player for the winners was Haowen Guo who scored 25 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Bayi Rockets moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Nanjing TX MK. Jilin Tigers at the other side keep the twelfth position with 20 games lost. Bayi Rockets' next round opponent will be higher ranked Brave Dragons (#14) in Taiyuan and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Monkey Kings (10-30) and Blue Whales (9-30), which took place in Sichuan. 16th ranked Monkey Kings were outleveled in a road game by nineteenth ranked Blue Whales 96-77 on Friday. Jason Thompson orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Monkey Kings' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Blue Whales moved-up to eighteenth place. Loser Monkey Kings keep the sixteenth position with 30 games lost. Blue Whales will face higher ranked Sturgeons (#7) in Jinjiang in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 41: Tianjin GL were beaten by Shandong GS on the road 106-92. Guangdong ST won against Zhejiang Ch. on its own court 115-101. Shenzhen L. managed to outperform Qingdao E. in a road game 126-116. Shanxi Z. recorded a loss to Guangzhou LL at home 126-136. Shanghai S. was defeated by Guangsha L. on the opponent's court 127-110.
The most impressive performance of 41th round was 27 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals by Courtney Fortson of Guangsha L..



Beijing Ducks - Beijing Dragons 102-104
