Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Flying Leopards as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Flying Leopards edged 5th ranked Beijing Ducks in Yingkou 89-86. Flying Leopards made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: IPZ) fired 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international Ailun Guo (192-93) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Croatian-American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Beijing Ducks' coach Giannis Christopoulos tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Flying Leopards (23-4) have an impressive 12-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Guangdong ST. Beijing Ducks at the other side dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. Beijing Ducks will play next round against strong Zhejiang Guangsha Lions trying to get back on the winning streak. Flying Leopards will try to continue on its current victory against eighteenth ranked Fly Dragons in Beijing.
Top ranked Guandong Tigers (23-4) recorded its fourth loss in Dongguan. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (18-8) 130-126. It ended at the same time the 20-game winning streak of Guandong Tigers. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: IPZ) who helped to win the game recording 52 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Hamed Haddadi contributed with 15 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) replied with 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for Guandong Tigers. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Xinjiang Flying Tige moved-up to fifth place. Guandong Tigers at the other side still keep top position with four games lost. They share it with Liaoning FL. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play against Long-Lions (#8) in Guangzhou in the next round. Guandong Tigers will play at home against Golden Stars (#11) and hope to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Gold Lions managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the two-game losing streak on Tuesday night. This time they won against fifteenth-ranked Brave Dragons in Tianjin 109-101. Worth to mention a great performance of Taylor Rochestie who helped to win the game recording 57 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side Bobby Brown responded with 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gold Lions (6-21) moved-up to nineteenth place, which they share with Bayi R. Brave Dragons lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. They share it with Nanjing TX MK. Gold Lions will meet at home higher ranked Monkey Kings (#14) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Brave Dragons will play against Eagles and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Shanghai, where higher ranked Sharks (16-11) lost at home to eleventh ranked Jilin Tigers (12-14) 109-122. The winners were led by Dominique Jones who had that evening a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 12 assists. Sharks' coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Jilin Tigers moved-up to tenth place. Sharks lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. Jilin Tigers' next round opponent will be Golden Bulls (#12) in Hangzhou.
An interesting game took place in Jinan, where 10th ranked Golden Stars (12-15) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Golden Bulls (11-16) 73-82 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Golden Stars. Cheng Shuaipeng fired 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Golden Stars' coach gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Golden Bulls have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Jiangsu D. Loser Golden Stars dropped to the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Golden Bulls will face higher ranked Jilin Tigers (#10) in Changchun in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.

Rest of the games of round 28 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Fujian S. defeated Nanjing TX MK in Jinjiang 115-101. Qingdao E. was beaten by Shenzhen L. at home 105-121. Sichuan BW lost to Guangzhou LL on the opponent's court 99-113. Guangsha L. outscored Jiangsu D. in a home game 118-93. Bottom-ranked Bayi R. rolled over Beijing Dragons on the road 102-76.
The best stats of 28th round was 26 points and 12 rebounds by JaKarr Sampson of Shandong GS.



Nanjing TX MK - Fujian S. 101-115

There was no surprise in Jiangsu where 14th ranked Monkey Kings (9-18) were defeated by eighth ranked Sturgeons (16-11) 115-101 on Tuesday. Sturgeons dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Monkey Kings' 46. They outrebounded Monkey Kings 47-33 including 37 on the defensive glass. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. International Zhelin Wang (214-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Sturgeons' coach ShiLong Zhu used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Joseph Young (188-92, college: Oregon) produced 39 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and his fellow American import center Isaiah Austin (216-93, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) added 15 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Sturgeons and five Monkey Kings players scored in double figures. Sturgeons moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Guangzhou LL and Shanghai S. Loser Monkey Kings keep the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Sturgeons will face Bayi Rockets (#19) in Ningbo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Monkey Kings will play on the road against Gold Lions (#20) in Tianjin and hope to win that game.

The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bayi Rockets moved-up to nineteenth place, which they share with Tianjin GL. Fly Dragons lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth position with 20 games lost. Bayi Rockets will face higher ranked Sturgeons (#7) in Jinjiang in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
