JUSTIN HAMILTON

28-year old center Justin Hamilton (213-C-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for Beijing Ducks and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 22.
He had a double-double of 31 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Jilin NE T. (#12, 9-11) 101-88. Beijing Ducks is placed at 3rd position in Chinese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Beijing Ducks will need more victories to improve their 17-5 record. In the team's last game Hamilton had a remarkable 52.4% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Beijing Ducks and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Justin Hamilton averages this season 22.0ppg and 9.1rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Taylor Rochestie (185-PG-85) of Tianjin GL. He is American-Montenegrin guard in his first season at Tianjin GL. In the last game Rochestie recorded impressive double-double of 38 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Tianjin GL lost that game 87-95 to the higher-ranked Nanjing TX MK (#15, 7-15). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Tianjin GL left the very bottom place moving slightly to 19th position. 17 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Tianjin GL managed to get this year. Rochestie is a newcomer at Tianjin GL and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 33.2ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 5.4rpg and 10.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Pierre Jackson (180-PG-91) of Beijing Dragons (#18). Jackson got into 30-points club by scoring 50 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and nine assists. Despite Jackson's great performance Beijing Dragons lost 112-123 to the higher-ranked Fujian S. (#8, 13-9). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Beijing Dragons can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-17 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Jackson he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Jackson has individually a great season in China. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 42.5ppg (best scorer) and assists with 9.4apg (3rd best). He also has 2.4spg, FGP: 59.0% and 3PT: 43.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marreese Speights (208-F/C-87) of Guangzhou LL - 37 points, 21 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Kenny Boynton (188-PG-91) of Shenzhen L. - 37 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Bobby Brown (188-PG-84) of Shanxi Z. - 29 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Zhelin Wang (214-PF-94) of Fujian S. - 30 points and 15 rebounds
8. Eugene Jeter (180-PG-83) of Fujian S. - 30 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists
9. Dakari Johnson (213-C/F-95) of Qingdao E. - 23 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Jinqiu Hu (208-C-97) of Guangsha L. - 25 points and 12 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

2019-20 CBA Changes - 12 minutes ago
down
The 2019-20 CBA season is expected to have some significant rule changes that will directly affect the level of players signing in what has been one of the top leagues, as far as money is concerned, at least. The CBA has ratified a standard contract that essentially makes EVERY contract non-guaranteed at least for the first two months, the silver lining for players/agents is that the CBA season traditionally starts so late, that 90% of the non guaranteed portion will be satisfied before...   [read more]

Corey Webster (188-G-88, college: Lambuth, agency: Alti Sport) showed he's set for a big season for New Zealand Breakers putting up 19 first half points to lead the NBL Select Team to beating Team China 86-74 in Game 3 of the annual series on Sunday night in Changzhou. Team China had wrapped up the series by winning the opening two matches starting with an 89-77 triumph on Wednesday in Qingdao and then prevailing 101-98 in Nantong on Friday night. Webster, Steindl can't quite shoot NBL over China - 4 days ago

Despite Clint Steindl (200-F/G-89, college: St.Mary's, CA) and Corey Webster (188-G-88, college: Lambuth, agency: Alti Sport) combining for nine triples, Zhelin Wang (214-PF-94) proved the difference inside as Team China beat the NBL Select Team 101-98 in Game 2 of the series on Friday night in Nantong. The game did go down to the wire with the NBL Select Team having a look at a tying shot on the buzzer, but Steindl's three didn't fall and China wrapped up the series after also winning Ga...   [read more]
