CBA top team - Guandong Tigers (20-1) added another victory to their record on Wednesday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Golden Bulls (8-13) in Dongguan 103-97. Guandong Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Golden Bulls' 46. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Guandong Tigers made 8 blocks. 28 personal fouls committed by Golden Bulls helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. International power forward JunFei Ren (203-90) contributed with 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Yibo Wang (186-97) replied with 18 points for Golden Bulls. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guandong Tigers have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-1 record. Golden Bulls at the other side keep the thirteenth place with 13 games lost. Guandong Tigers are looking forward to face league's second-placed Flying Leopards in Yingkou in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Golden Bulls will play at home against Long-Lions (#9) and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.

Other games in round 22 were not that significant. Shenzhen L. beat Shanghai S. on the road 112-106. Beijing Dragons lost to Fujian S. on its own court 112-123. Liaoning FL managed to outperform Qingdao E. in Yingkou 124-113. Jiangsu D. managed to beat Bayi R. at home 82-74. Nanjing TX MK defeated Tianjin GL on the opponent's court 95-87. Jilin NE T. was beaten by Beijing Ducks in a home game 88-101.



Guangsha L. - Guangzhou LL 102-88

The game between fourth ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (16-4) and 9th ranked Long-Lions (11-10) in Hangzhou on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions beat guests from Guangzhou 102-88. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game.
