An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hangzhou. First ranked Guandong Tigers faced second-best Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Guests from Dongguan (19-1) defeated host Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (15-4) 113-100. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Guandong Tigers made 10 blocks. 27 personal fouls committed by Zhejiang Guangsha Lions helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) who scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. The former international Jianlian Yi (212-87) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Guandong Tigers have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-1 record. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Guandong Tigers are looking forward to face Golden Bulls (#12) in Hangzhou in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play on the road against Long-Lions (#9) in Guangzhou and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Another exciting game was between eighth ranked Sturgeons and 4th placed Beijing Ducks where Sturgeons (12-8) won against Beijing Ducks (15-5) on the road 83-76. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Beijing Ducks. It was a good game for international Zhelin Wang (214-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds. LinJian Chen contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Croatian-American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for Beijing Ducks. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sturgeons maintains eighth place with 12-8 record. Beijing Ducks at the other side keep the fourth position with five games lost. Sturgeons will play against Fly Dragons (#17) in Beijing in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Beijing Ducks will play at home against Jilin Tigers (#11) and hope to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Gold Lions managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of ten consecutive losses on Sunday night. This time they won against eighteenth-ranked Bayi Rockets in Tianjin 97-88. Taylor Rochestie stepped up with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 10 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners. The best for the losing side was Hao Fu with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. Bayi Rockets' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gold Lions (4-16) moved-up to eighteenth place, which they share with Sichuan BW and Bayi R. Bayi Rockets lost their seventh game in a row. Gold Lions will meet higher ranked Monkey Kings (#14) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bayi Rockets will play against Jiangsu Dragons (#13) and hope to secure a win.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Shanghai, where higher ranked Sharks (13-7) lost at home to ninth ranked Long-Lions (11-9) 111-117. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sharks. Kyle Fogg nailed a triple-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 11 assists for the winning side. Long-Lions' coach Juan Antonio Orenga allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Long-Lions maintains ninth place with 11-9 record. Sharks at the other side keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Long-Lions' next round opponent will be higher ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#3) in Hangzhou and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sharks will play on the road against Leopards in Shenzhen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game took place in Qingdao, where higher ranked Golden Stars (10-10) were outleveled in a road game by sixteenth ranked Eagles (5-15) 121-92 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Golden Stars. The best player for the winners was Dakari Johnson who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 23 rebounds and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Eagles maintains sixteenth place with 5-15 record, which they share with Beijing Dragons. Loser Golden Stars keep the tenth position with ten games lost. Eagles will face league's second-placed Flying Leopards in Yingkou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

Other games of round 21 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Xinjiang FT defeated Shanxi Z. in Urumqi 114-101. Jilin NE T. lost to defending champion Liaoning FL at home 104-120. Zhejiang Ch. lost to Shenzhen L. on the opponent's court 107-111. Beijing Dragons unfortunately lost to Sichuan BW in a home game 84-95. Jiangsu D. managed to beat Nanjing TX MK on the road 111-98.

Flying Leopards made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Flying Leopards outrebounded Jilin Tigers 46-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who scored 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: IPZ) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!). They outrebounded Fly Dragons 47-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. Fly Dragons were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Jason Thompson (211-86, college: Rider) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Gold Lions made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. American-Montenegrin point guard Taylor Rochestie (185-85, college: Washington St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 10 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners and forward Jin Xin (196-95) chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was international center Hao Fu (206-97) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and international forward Haowen Guo (201-0) scored 17 points. Four Gold Lions and five Bayi Rockets players scored in double figures. Bayi Rockets' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gold Lions (4-16) moved-up to eighteenth place, which they share with Sichuan BW and Bayi R. Bayi Rockets lost their seventh game in a row. Gold Lions will meet higher ranked Monkey Kings (#14) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bayi Rockets will play against Jiangsu Dragons (#13) and hope to secure a win.

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Jiangsu Dragons and 14th ranked Monkey Kings had identical 7-12 record. But Monkey Kings were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Nanjing 111-98 on Saturday night. Jiangsu Dragons outrebounded Monkey Kings 41-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Monkey Kings were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 21 points and 8 assists. Four Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Joseph Young (188-92, college: Oregon) who recorded 46 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists (went 18 for 18 at the free throw line !!!) and the other American import center Isaiah Austin (216-93, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Monkey Kings' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Jiangsu Dragons (8-12) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Zhejiang Ch. Loser Monkey Kings keep the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will face Bayi Rockets (#18) in Ningbo in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Monkey Kings will play at home against Gold Lions (#20) and hope to win that game.
