Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game of round 18 in the CBA took place in Hangzhou. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Sharks (11-6) to second ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (14-2) 102-99 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sharks. Strangely Sharks outrebounded Zhejiang Guangsha Lions 55-43 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas) who scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. International center Jinqiu Hu (208-97) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) who recorded 45 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions maintains second position with 14-2 record having four points less than leader Guangdong ST. Sharks at the other side keep the seventh place with six games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions are looking forward to face Golden Stars (#8) in Jinan in the next round where they are favorite. Sharks will play at home against Golden Bulls and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Undefeated leader Guandong Tigers delivered the seventeenth consecutive victory. This time they beat 11th ranked Golden Bulls (8-9) 107-103 in Dongguan. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Golden Bulls. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Malcolm Delaney contributed with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Guandong Tigers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri, agency: BeoBasket) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!) for Golden Bulls. Undefeated Guandong Tigers (17-0) have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 17 victories in a row. Golden Bulls at the other side keep the eleventh place with nine games lost. Guandong Tigers will play against Monkey Kings (#14) in Jiangsu in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Golden Bulls will play on the road against Sharks in Shanghai and hope to get back on the winning track.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Ningbo. Local Bayi Rockets (3-14) were outscored by thirteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (7-9) 113-92 on Saturday night. Maciej Lampe had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was Shuo Han with 21 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Jilin Tigers will meet at home Jiangsu Dragons (#13) in the next round. Bayi Rockets will play against Brave Dragons (#17) in Taiyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Beijing: Beijing Ducks (#4) and Fly Dragons (#17). Despite it looked like an easy game for Beijing Ducks, those rules do not exist in derby games. It's more the case of honor for local supporters and such games have that special and unique approach you cannot find in other games. Host Fly Dragons challenged much higher ranked Beijing Ducks giving them a very tough game, but finally losing it by six points 100-94. Aaron Jackson notched a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 17 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals by power forward Dakari Johnson (213-95, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for Eagles. Point guard Jonathan Gibson (188-87, college: N.Mexico St.) added 24 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
