26-year old forward Jared Sullinger (206-F-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Shenzhen L. and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had a double-double of 39 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Shanxi Z. (#14, 4-9) 130-118. Thanks to this victory Shenzhen L. moved-up to the 6th position in Chinese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shenzhen L. will need more victories to improve their 9-4 record. In the team's last game Sullinger had a remarkable 72.2% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It's his second year at Shenzhen L. and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Ohio State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sullinger is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 13.8rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 61.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jason Thompson (211-F/C-86) of Sichuan BW. He is American forward in his first season at Sichuan BW. In the last game Thompson recorded impressive double-double of 35 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Sichuan BW lost that game 101-113 to the higher-ranked Shanghai S. (#4, 9-4). Sichuan BW is still in a red zone at 17th spot in the standings. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Sichuan BW managed to get this year. Thompson is a newcomer at Sichuan BW and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Joseph Young (188-G-92) of Nanjing TX MK (#16). Young got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for ten assists. He was a key player of Nanjing TX MK, leading his team to a 110-88 easy win against Bayi R. (3-10). Nanjing TX MK can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Young he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Young has individually a great season in China. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 32.2ppg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Dakari Johnson (213-C/F-95) of Qingdao E. - 26 points, 22 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Jimmer Fredette (188-PG-89) of Shanghai S. - 36 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists
6. Sonny Weems (198-G/F-86) of Guangdong ST - 30 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Marcus Denmon (191-G-90) of Zhejiang Ch. - 33 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Cole Aldrich (211-C-88) of Tianjin GL - 26 points, 18 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Tyler Hansbrough (206-F-85) of Zhejiang Ch. - 27 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Kenny Boynton (188-PG-91) of Shenzhen L. - 31 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

2019-20 CBA Changes - 15 hours ago
down
The 2019-20 CBA season is expected to have some significant rule changes that will directly affect the level of players signing in what has been one of the top leagues, as far as money is concerned, at least. The CBA has ratified a standard contract that essentially makes EVERY contract non-guaranteed at least for the first two months, the silver lining for players/agents is that the CBA season traditionally starts so late, that 90% of the non guaranteed portion will be satisfied before...   [read more]
