The round 12 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Undefeated leader Guandong Tigers delivered the eleventh consecutive win on Wednesday night. This time they beat 19th ranked Gold Lions (2-9) 118-103 in Tianjin. Guandong Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international Jianlian Yi (212-87) who had a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. American swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Guandong Tigers' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Montenegrin point guard Taylor Rochestie (185-85, college: Washington St.) who recorded 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Undefeated Guandong Tigers (11-0) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 11 victories in a row. Gold Lions lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth place with nine games lost. Guandong Tigers are looking forward to face Eagles (#15) in Qingdao in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gold Lions will play at home against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#9) and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
Important game to mention about took place in Taiyuan. Eighth ranked Golden Bulls (8-6) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 13th ranked Brave Dragons (4-7) 123-120 on Wednesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was a good game for American guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with 59 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Tyler Hansbrough contributed with 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward ZhaoBao Ge (212-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for Brave Dragons. Brave Dragons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Golden Bulls moved-up to sixth place. Brave Dragons at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Golden Bulls will play against league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Brave Dragons will play at home against Leopards (#3) and hope to get back on the winning track.

Rest of the games of round 12 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Jiangsu D. defeated Beijing Dragons in Nanjing 114-100. Bottom-ranked Nanjing TX MK were beaten by Jilin NE T. at home 110-124. Fujian S. lost to Shandong GS on the opponent's court 105-113. Bayi R. unfortunately lost to Beijing Ducks in a home game 80-91. Sichuan BW recorded a loss to Qingdao E. on the road 91-98.
The best stats of 12th round was 51 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds by Joseph Young of Nanjing TX MK.



Beijing Dragons - Jiangsu D. 100-114

There was no surprise in Beijing where 18th ranked Fly Dragons (3-9) were defeated by fourteenth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (5-7) 114-100. Jiangsu Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Fly Dragons' 44 and made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Fly Dragons 58-32 including a 22-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Jiangsu Dragons players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) who led his team to a victory with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. Five Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. American point guard Pierre Jackson (180-91, college: Baylor) replied with 43 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and his fellow American import forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) added 28 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Fly Dragons. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jiangsu Dragons moved-up to thirteenth place. Fly Dragons at the other side dropped to the seventeenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Bayi R.. Jiangsu Dragons will play against higher ranked Beijing Ducks (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Fly Dragons will have a break next round.

Nanjing TX MK - Jilin NE T. 110-124

No shocking result in a game in Jiangsu where twelfth ranked Jilin Tigers (5-6) defeated bottom-ranked Monkey Kings (2-10) 124-110. Strangely Monkey Kings outrebounded Jilin Tigers 49-37 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Jilin Tigers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Monkey Kings' players. It was a good game for Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) contributed with 25 points and 6 assists for the winners. Five Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. American guard Joseph Young (188-92, college: Oregon) replied with 51 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and forward ChangChun Yu (200-91) added 17 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Monkey Kings. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jilin Tigers maintains twelfth position with 5-6 record. Monkey Kings lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Jilin Tigers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Monkey Kings will play at home against Bayi Rockets (#17) and hope to get back on the winning track.

Rather expected game in Jinan where 10th ranked Sturgeons (6-6) were defeated by eighth ranked Golden Stars (8-4) 113-105. Sturgeons were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Lithuanian power forward Donatas Motiejunas (213-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Golden Stars players scored in double figures. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) replied with 38 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and international Zhelin Wang (214-94) added 26 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Sturgeons. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Golden Stars have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Beijing Ducks. Sturgeons at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

It was a good game for power forward Dakari Johnson (213-95, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. MACIEJ LAMPE Al-Manama (Premier League) agreed terms with 33-year old Polish international power forward Maciej Lampe (211-122kg-85) to represent the club in Arab Gulf Championship.
