DeQuan Jones

American Forward DeQuan Jones (203-F-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for Anhui, receiving a Interperformances NBL Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (42 points, nine rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Guangxi (#1, 10-2) with 20-point margin 118-98. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Anhui maintains the 4th position in Chinese NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Anhui will need more victories to improve their 9-3 record. In the team's last game Jones had a remarkable 65.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Anhui, through which he has constantly improved. Former University of Miami, Florida star has very solid stats this year. Jones is in league's top in points (9th best: 31.8ppg) and averages impressive 62.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old American Isaiah Austin (216-C-93, agency: Slash Sports) of league's leader Guangxi. Austin had a very good evening with a double-double of 43 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Guangxi lost that game 98-118 to the lower-ranked Anhui (#4, 9-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Guangxi still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. It was just his team's 2nd loss this season, while they won 10 other games. Austin is one of the most experienced players at Guangxi and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 37.6ppg (#3). He also registered 11.1 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Quincy Douby (190-G-84) of Luoyang (#11). Douby got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds and nine assists. He was a key player of Luoyang, leading his team to a 135-131 win against the higher-ranked Hebei X. (#6, 8-4). The chances of Luoyang not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Douby could try to bring Luoyang's a little bit higher in the standings. Douby has individually a great season in China. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 39.1ppg (2nd best) and assists with 5.7apg (best passer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Devin Green (201-G/F-82) of Wuhan - 36 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Eric Thompson (204-C-93) of Hefei - 17 points, 33 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Chris Otule (211-C-90) of Guizhou - 28 points and 18 rebounds
7. Michael Nunnally (203-F-86) of Luoyang - 25 points, 24 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Antoine Mason (191-G-92) of Fujian - 41 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
