Tony Crocker
Jilin Northeast Tigers (CBA) inked 29-year old American forward Tony Crocker (200-87, college: Oklahoma). The contract goes for one year and is worth half a million USD. He played most recently at Yesilgiresun in Turkish BSL league. In 25 games he averaged impressive 17.3ppg, 5.1rpg, 2.2apg and 1.4spg last season. A very good year in his career as he was selected to All-Turkish League Honorable Mention and to the All-Star Game.
The previous (14-15) season Crocker played at Hapoel Holon (Winner League) in Israel where in 29 games he had 13.9ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Israeli League All-Star Game.
Among other achievements Crocker won NBA Pro Summer League in Orlando championship title in 2015. He received also All-Hungarian League Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2011.
Crocker is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Cyprus (Keravnos), Finland (KTP-Basket), Greece (Nea Kifisia), Ukraine (Zaporizhya) and Hungary (Alba).
Crocker attended University of Oklahoma until 2010 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
His game is described as: Tony Crocker is a long, strong and athletic basketball player with skills to play in the NBA. With the enhanced training he is receiving from Fess Irvin in Dallas he will be ready for the NBA now. Tony reminds you of Bruce Bowens of the World Champions, San Antonio Spurs. He is a great defender and his length and quickness creates problems for opponents. Tony also can score from anywhere on the court. He scored 27 points in 20 minutes in college and he is capable of a double double each game. He is a complete basketball player as well as a complete team player.
