JIMMER FREDETTE

Phoenix Suns (NBA) agreed terms with 30-year old point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89kg-89, college: BYU). He started the season at Shanghai Sharks in Chinese CBA league. In 43 games he had very impressive stats: 35.5ppg, 5.6rpg, 5.4apg and 2.5spg this season. A very spectacular year in his career as he was named to Chinese CBA All-Star Game and League Player of the Week (2 times). The last summer Fredette played at Team Fredette. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
In 2011 Fredette was drafted by Milwaukee Bucks in first round (10th overall). He attended Brigham Young University and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Fredette played in the final of MWC Tournament in 2008 and 2011. He was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA 2nd Team in 2018.
Fredette has played previously for six other NBA teams: New Orleans Pelicans, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings and Westchester Knicks.
He could be described: (by Tyler Ingle for NBADraft.net in 2011)
Wide array of ways to put the ball in the basket ... Great size and strength for a point guard ... Strong finisher around the rim ... Uncanny shooting ability. Struggles to close out on shooters ... As the primary offensive option on his team, he hasnt proven he can be a pass-first point guard

29-year old Igor Zaytsev (210-C/F-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Chongqing and receives a Interperformances NBL Player of the Week award for round 16. He had a double-double of 39 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Hebei X. (#12, 3-13) 122-111. Thanks to this victory Chongqing moved-up to the 6th position in Chinese NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Chongqing will need more victories to improve their 10-6...   [read more]

2019-20 CBA Changes - 17 hours ago
down
The 2019-20 CBA season is expected to have some significant rule changes that will directly affect the level of players signing in what has been one of the top leagues, as far as money is concerned, at least. The CBA has ratified a standard contract that essentially makes EVERY contract non-guaranteed at least for the first two months, the silver lining for players/agents is that the CBA season traditionally starts so late, that 90% of the non guaranteed portion will be satisfied before...   [read more]
