Beijing celebrated WCBA title. They claimed the third straight victory over Xinjiang in the championship series and clinched the trophy. The victory marked the second championship trophy in Beijing's history. Shao Ting was named the Finals MVP. Beijing Great Wall led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Xinjiang's 22. Beijing Great Wall forced 19 Xinjiang turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Sylvia Fowles (198-85, college: LSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds and international Song Gao (188-92) who added 24 points during the contest. At the losing side the former international point guard Siyue Qiu (177-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Zengyu Ma (183-84) scored 21 points. South outscored North in All Star game 108-97. The latter opened the game in a more balanced style and took 34-29 lead at the end of the first period. Moreover they added 23-21 rally in the second frame and had a 7-point half-time advantage. South however dominated the second half and outgunned their opponents in consecutive periods. They edged the opponents 28-17 in the third period and closed the game with a 30-23 run in the last stanza. Sun Mengran (197-C-92) was named MVP of the game as she recorded 25 points and collected 10 rebounds. Moore Maya (183-SG-89, college: Connecticut) scored 19 points and added 12 boards.
