Chinese Basketball League (Chinese Basketball Association) History

League status

The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) is the first-tier professional basketball league in China. Chinese Basketball Association was established in 1995.
The CBA sits above the National Basketball League which effectively forms the second-tier of Chinese basketball.
At the end of regular season, top 12 teams qualify to the play-offs.
Limits of non-Chinese players per team: 3 import players (non-Europeans), 2 Bosman players (with European passport) . Total number of allowed imports and Bosmans is 3.
