Al Sadd Sports Club Doha (QBL) agreed terms with experienced 36-year old American (has also Cambodian passport) point guard Darrin Dorsey (188cm-86kg-1987, college: DWU, agency: Diamond Sports) for the rest of 2022-2023 season.

Dorsey played last season at Orthodox in Jordanian Premier League. In 12 games he had very impressive stats: 19.2ppg, 7.1rpg, 7.0apg (top 2) and 1.7spg.

He helped them to win the cup and make to league final. Quite impressive season as he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Jordanian Premier League Guard of the Year and League Player of the Week (3 times). Dorsey also played 7 games in West Asia Super League where he recorded also remarkable stats: 17.9ppg, 3.4rpg, 7.0apg and 1.9spg. He was called to Cambodian Senior National Team this year.

Dorsey is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in eleven different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. Dorsey has played previously professionally in Argentina (Union de Santa Fe), Canada (Rainmen), Colombia (Cafeteros and Bambuqueros), France (Chalon/Saor, Poitiers and Le Portel), Greece (Holargos), Israel, Lithuania (Neptunas), Mexico (Abejas and Ostioneros de Guaymas), Poland (Trefl), Romania (Cluj Napoca) and Turkey (Usak).

He graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University in 2011 and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season as a professional player. Dorsey played also for Bakersfield College for 2 years.
