Cambodia Fall to Laos as Vietnam Blow out Brunei

The Fiba Organized U20 Friendship Game got under way today at the Indoor Hall of the National Stadium as Cambodia failed to rise above their Counterparts From Laos losing 62-73 in the opening game. The Match which was witnessd by a large crowd mostly Students from High School tipped off after a Grand Opening Ceremony with all Participating teams match past the VIP stand. The Opening Ceremony was presided over by H.E Sabayna and Special Guest of Honor FIBA Director David Crocker. As soon as the Ceremony was over Cambodia took on Laos and started like a train racing to a 12-0 lead to the admiration of their home Fans but Laos Slowly came back into the game to end the first Quarter 22-17. Laos charged on in the second quarter to make the tie evenly contested and end to end stuff to go into the break 40-39. Khamek Sidapone and Thavtxay Phongphoumy both scoring 32 and 30 points respectively inspired the LAOS side to victory as they turned the table in the 3rd quarter to lead by 2 points. Despite Chhorath Tep's 3 pointers to give Cambodia some hope, Dennis Joshua Silenced the Cambodia Fans with series of 3 pointers of his own as the host fell 62-73.
In the second game of the series, Vietnam were too hot for Brunei as they handed them a 112-39 Blow out. Cambodia will take on Brunei on Saturday 11:00AM while the Early Tip Off at 9:00 Am will see Vietnam face off with Laos.
