West clinch victory in All-Star Game - Sep 22, 2015

The End of Season All Stars Basketball was held today at the Indoor hall of the Olympic Stadium between a selected team from Extra Joss Fighters, Megalin Knights and NSK Dream representing the Western Conference and Mekong Tigers, Pate 310, Emperors and Woods Lozenges. The tie ended 66-64 in favour of the west conference. The East started on a bright note racing to 8-0 lead with Sok Tour firing all cylinders in the opening 3 minutes. Mid way into the first Quarter Santos and Stephen Siruma (188-G-86) showed why they are among the best in the lead as they ploughed the West back into the game to end the quarter 24-17. Sok Tour, Jeff Kane (F) and Darath continued to make points after points to help the East while on the other end, The West wouldnt let go as it ended 35-35 at half time. Both sides remained neck on neck with each other displaying some great shooting and with no out and out Center in either side, it was all about outside shooting with a number of inside drives as both sides continued to look for the pull away. Top Scorers for the day are Stephen Siruma 24 points, Jomar 20 points and Sok Tour 18 points. It ended 64-62 in favour of the west to end the 2015 Basketball Season.

Mekong Tigers crowned champions - Sep 19, 2015

Mekong Tigers defiled all odds to win the 2015 CBL Title after a pulsating Game 3 which ended 80-82. The Tigers Started like a train and never looked back after Matt Van Pelt (178-PG-91, college: Spring Arbor, agency: JFP) drew the first blood. At Half time the Tigers Led by 20 points before Extra Joss Fighters clawed themselves back into the Game to bring it to only one point gap after Quarter 3.
The 4th Quarter was a game of nerves and Matt Van Pelt once again proved invaluable as he continued to shoot down the Fighters from Long range to being the game to a 82-80 close in favour of the Tigers.
