You-C1000 Basketball Cup tips off

The much-anticipated You-C1000 Basketball Cup 2023 tipped off amid much fanfare following an opening ceremony at the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) Basketball Court in Batu Bersurat on Saturday. The month-long tournament sees the participation of twenty-one teams including 18 in the Men's category and three in the Women's category. The opening ceremony commenced with the playing of the national anthem followed by welcoming remarks by BBA Deputy President Lim Boon Teck. Shortly after, Hui Huang Enterprise General Manager Katherine Hii proceeded to launch the tournament and marked the introduction of the new scoreboard. This was followed with the introduction of the participating teams. Meanwhile, Propel got off to a winning start in the opening match of the tournament after a 87-49 win over Bandar Rockets.
