JCWE emerge winners of 3x3 basketball meet

JCWE comprising Benjamin Sim, Zainul Hussin, Lim Liang Wei and Jake Chong emerged champions in the Men's Open category of the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) 3x3 Weekend Challenge 2022 at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat last weekend. Not Last Place featuring Ahmad Sajjaad Haji Rusli, Masduqi Hussin, Aiman Yakub and Shahrun Zulkifli finished runners-up while De'Lightz Co comprising Cain Yeo, Low Teck Jee, Anderson Yeo and Michael Pang came third. Meanwhile in the Under-18 Boys' category, Twin Towers comprising Darrell Neo, Adam Lee, Jaron On and Daniel Sim emerged winners. Hana Boyz, made up of Marion Rave Kael M Pineda, Patrick Gabriel T Rubbilar, Chan Yung Ken and Haji Ahmed Alfariq bin Haji Bahrom Affendy finished runners-up. Chip Cityz comprising Clement Han, Bryan Kwa, Salem Jerome Mendoza and Phoan Chung Siang came third. A total of 13 teams from both categories participated in the one-day meet with 44 games played. The BBA has been organising a series of 3x3 basketball tournaments in recent months as part of its preparations to participate in the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup, which will be held in Singapore in March 2023.
