Easyway cruised into the last four of the You-C1000 Basketball Cup after a 108-73 victory over BTC/Prime Logistic in the quarter-finals at the Brunei Basketball Association Court in Batu Bersurat yesterday evening. Decorey Jones (201-SG-90, college: Faulkner) led his team with a 21-point performance while Zainul Hussin collected 20 points on a huge night for the pre-tournament favourites. Jake Chong also proved to be in inspiring form in the match-up with 19 points while team captain Ben Sim contributed with 18 points. Two other players - Darren Lee and Andy Sim - also hit double digits. Fateh Sdn Bhd will be joining Easyway in the semi-finals after they overcame Propel 82-71 in the earlier tip-off. Primor registered 20 points while Pasag had 15 points for the Group 'A' leaders. The competition will continue tonight (July 19) with Yi's Nation taking on Concept Xtrike-Me while Pegasus will meet TK Tea House. |
