5.11 National Basketball League suspended

With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases reported in Brunei Darussalam, the 5.11 National Basketball League has been suspended until further notice. A Brunei Basketball Association statement said, 'With growing local concern on the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Brunei and in line with the Ministry of Health's advice to limit physical contact, Brunei Basketball Association has made a hard decision to suspend the 5.11 National Basketball League until further notice. 'Brunei Basketball Association will continue to monitor the fluid and fast-changing situation. As a responsible member of the Brunei community, Brunei Basketball Association will take further preventive measures if needed, and will abide by the guidance from relevant government agencies.' The association remains confident that the relevant authorities will contain the infection and thanked all medical and government personnel who are part of the effort to keep Brunei safe from the virus. The tournament was scheduled to conclude on March 19.
