Fitness Zone win Men's Category of basketball tourney

THE Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) Chairman's Cup basketball tournament concluded with the final match of the Men's Category and prize presentation at the BBA Basketball Court in Batu Bersurat, Gadong last Sunday evening. Fitness Zone, led by Wu Chun, faced Bina Setia in the final match where Bina Setia showed their prowess early into the match, leading the first quarter 28-23. Fitness Zone managed to edge their opponent 23-22 in the second quarter. They changed tactics to score more in the third quarter with the score of 22-10. Bina Setia rose back in the fourth and final quarter, scoring three-pointers upon trying to lead ahead, but Fitness Zone returned with more three-pointers of their own and managed to tie the quarter at 22-22. That was enough for Fitness Zone to win the match with the score of 90-82 and emerged as champion of the Men's Category for the BBA Chairman's Cup.
In the third place match. Systematic Living dominated TSL in the first quarter scoring 29-28 and led 29-14 in the second quarter. TSL took control in the third quarter scoring 24-19 and edged their opponent 27-16 in the fourth and final quarter, but it was not enough as Systematic Living won to take third place with the score of 103-93. BBA Chairman Alex Kwang Ming Hing was present at the final match and presented prizes to the winners.
