Low San basketball tourney concludes - Dec 17, 2018

THE Low San Basketball Tournament 2018 concluded late Wednesday evening at the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) Basketball Court in Batu Bersurat, Gadong. Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Ong Tiong Oh, owner of Low San Hardware and main sponsor of the tournament, presented prizes to the winners after the last final match. The finals started with the Women's Category where Mum Bakery Mobile World won 81-34 against GHK. Mum Bakery Mobile World as champion received the Women's Sherwin Williams Cup, Champion's Trophy and individual medals. Mum Bakery Mobile World's Nur Hafizah received the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award.
Runner-up GHK received the Runner-up Trophy and individual medals. Honey Carsmart received the Third Place Trophy and individual medals.
In the Veteran's Category, TK Tea House triumphed 76-66 against Fitness Zone in the final match to win the Veteran's Low San Shield, Champion's Trophy and individual medals. Runner-up Fitness Zone received the Runner-up Trophy and individual medals, while GHK received the Third Place Trophy.
TK Tea House's Aries Castro received the MVP Award for the Veteran's category. Fitness Zone emerged champion of the Open Category beating YTE 80-67. They received the Tool Box Open Challenge Cup, Champion's Trophy and individual medals. YTE received the Runner-up Trophy and individual medals, with TSL given the Third Place Trophy.
Fitness Zone's Kel Hung Ing Wai received the MVP Award for the Open category.

TUTONG survived an onslaught of an offensive-minded Brunei-Muara 'A' to become inaugural champions of the 5.11 National Basketball League after a 80-75 victory in a thrilling final at the Brunei Basketball Association Court last night. THE Seri Mulia Sarjana School (SMSS) basketball team won the championship trophy out of twenty (20) teams as they battled competitively during the Under16 Thredz' 3x3 basketball tournament organised by Shooting Stars Brunei at International School Brunei on February 24. THE 5.11 National Basketball League continued last night at two different venues. Team Temburong managed to edge past Team Brunei-Muara B' 79-74 at the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) Basketball Court in Batu Bersurat.
