STAND Tall 'A' emerged winners of the Men's Open category in the 3x3 Aewon 2018 Basketball Tournament after defeating YTE Basketball 13-12 in a nervy final on Sunday at the Mobile World premises. Termizi Noordeen of Stand Tall 'A' was named Most Valuable Player (MVP). Other members were Ammar Ikram, Matthew Jerikson and Tony Bong. YTE Basketball comprised Samuel Jong, Marcus Lim, Ryan Arambulo and Chin Poh Chong. Stand Tall 'B' won against Beastmode 15-13 to clinch third place. Shing Shing Ho, Hafizah Sidek, Hannah Bourbon and Julian Lee of the Mumbakery Mobile World crushed Suzuki team 19-11 to win the Women's Open category. Suzuki players were Gabrielle Chin, Chloe Chen, Andre Lee and Marsya Rashidi. Shing Shing Ho was named MVP.
In the third place playoff, Jaqueline Ha, Joycie Joseph, Shasha Susis and Sheila Pushpasanan of Flamingos won against Blackjack 5-2. Edwin Chong, Alan Ong, Jan Pierre and Ralph Borja of Jelly Fam team defeated Vgod 14-12 to capture the Under-16 title. Team Vgod had Jake Chin, Elwin Fung, Jerry Tew and Yong Jizen. Ralph Borja was the Under-16 MVP. Team Triology, which comprised Lim Jing Ren, Nicholas Cheng, Shi Wei and Wei Che Chuang claimed third place. The competition saw 19 teams competing.

Cambodia bounced back from their day 1 defeat to Vietnam to Trash Brunei 101-34 in game 2 of the FIBA Cambodia Friendship Game at the Indoor hall of the National Stadium. Brunei to send team for Cambodia basketball meet - 20 days ago
BRUNEI Basketball Association (BBA) will represent the country in the Cambodia Friendly Game from December 27-30 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. THE Low San Basketball Tournament 2018 concluded late Wednesday evening at the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) Basketball Court in Batu Bersurat, Gadong. Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Ong Tiong Oh, owner of Low San Hardware and main sponsor of the tournament, presented prizes to the winners after the last final match.
