Hapoel Afula (National League) agreed terms with 20-year old international power forward Daniel Koperberg (207-105kg-97).

He started the season at Maccabi Haifa (Winner League). Koperberg has played there for the last three years. In 11 Winner League games he had just 2.1ppg and 2.6rpg this season. National League will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. The last season Koperberg played also at Maccabi Haifa (also in Winner League). Winner League was a little too high level for him, where in 20 Winner League games he recorded only 1.1ppg and 1.0rpg. He helped them to make it to the final. Quite impressive season as he was named to Israeli League All-Star Game.

Despite young age Koperberg had great career. He was voted Eurobasket.com All-European Championships U20 3rd Team in 2016.
He was also a member of Israeli international program for some years. Koperberg played for Israeli Senior National Team two years ago and previously for U20 National Team between 2016 and 2017.

He also represented Israel at the World University Games in Taipei (Taiwan) last year. His stats at that event were 8 games: 10.3ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.0bpg, FGP: 57.7%, 3PT: 50.0%, FT: 76.0%.
