Gillenwater's 35-point game gives him Player of the Week award

37-year old American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-F-1988) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Dewa United Banten and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had the game-high 35 points adding seven rebounds for Dewa United in his team's victory, helping them to beat Hitech (#2, 2-2) 99-94. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Dewa United to consolidate first place in the Basketball Champions League Asia. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Dewa United has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Gillenwater had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Dewa United, being already a very valuable addition to the team. New Mexico State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Gillenwater is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.8ppg. Gillenwater is in league's top in and averages solid 56.9% FGP and 47.8% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Joshua Ibarra (211-C-1995). He is American-Mexican center in his first season at Dewa United. In the last game Ibarra recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 19 rebounds. It was enough for Dewa United Banten to edge Hitech (2-2) by 5 points 99-94. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Ibarra is one of the most experienced players at Dewa United and similarly like Troy Gillenwater has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Alec Brown (216-C-1992) of league's leader Taoyuan Pilots. Brown scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Pilots, leading his team to a 110-85 easy win against #4 ranked Kings in a game of the week. Pilots started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Brown turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Brown has a great season in Basketball Champions League Asia. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.0ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 9.7rpg (5th best).
