Julian Boyd claims Basketball Champions League Asia Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American Julian Boyd (203-F-1990) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Taoyuan Pilots and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 34-year old forward had a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed Metal (#3, 1-2) with 39-point margin 105-66. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Pilots to consolidate first place in the Basketball Champions League Asia. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Pilots already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. Boyd turned to be Pilots' top player in his first season with the team. Long Island University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Boyd is in league's top in points (8th best: 19.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 12.0rpg) and averages solid 63.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Canadian center Jordy Tshimanga (211-C-1996, agency: Interperformances) of second-ranked Xac Broncos Ulaanbaatar. Tshimanga impressed basketball fans with 29 points and 8 rebounds. Of course he led Broncos to another comfortable win 81-68 over slightly higher-ranked Kings (#1, 2-1) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Xac Broncos consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Tshimanga is a newcomer at Xac Broncos and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Pilots' star - Chun-Hsiang Lu (190-C-1997). Lu showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Taoyuan Pilots, helping his team with a 105-66 easy win against #3 ranked Metal. Pilots started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game. Lu turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Lu has a great season in Basketball Champions League Asia. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.6apg (4th best).
