Basketball Champions League Asia round 3 best performance: Jason Washburn (by Hoops Agents)

American-Bulgarian Center Jason Washburn (213-C-1990, agency: Pensack Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked New Taipei Kings, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Hitech (#4, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 89-80. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Kings to take over top position in the Basketball Champions League Asia. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Kings won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Washburn had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kings' top player in his first season with the team.

The second best player in last round's games was young Hungarian Jarrod Jones (206-F/C-1990) of league's leader Taoyuan Pilots. Jones had a very good evening with a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led Pilots to another comfortable win outscoring NS Matrix (0-5) 85-63. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Jones is a newcomer at Pilots, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#5). He also registered 11.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Michael Singletary (198-F-1988) of Hitech Bangkok City (#4). Singletary scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Singletary's great performance the Hitech lost 80-89 to #1 ranked Kings. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The season just started for Singletary as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader. Singletary attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

9. Ryan Watkins (206-C/F-1991) of Hitech - 11 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Agassi Goantara (187-G-1999) of Pelita Jaya - 11 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
