Justin Brownlee claims Basketball Champions League Asia weekly honour

Experienced American-Filipino Justin Brownlee (197-F-1988) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Pelita Jaya Bakrie Jakarta and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2 (Qualifying Round).
The 35-year old forward had a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Khuleguud (#3, 1-1) 89-83. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Pelita Jaya to jump to the first place in the Basketball Champions League Asia. But it's just the very beginning of the Qualifying Round and Pelita Jaya won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Brownlee had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Pelita Jaya and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. St. John's University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Brownlee is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.5ppg), rebounds (4th best: 10.5rpg), assists (2nd best: 6.0apg) and averages solid 65.0% FGP. Worth to mention Brownlee played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Kevin Allen (211-C-1994) of second-ranked Hitech Bangkok City. Allen impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Hitech to another comfortable win outscoring Adroit (0-2) 121-70. The Qualifying Round is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Allen is one of the most experienced players at Hitech and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Hitech's star - American Marcus Elliott (191-G-1984). Elliott showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Hitech Bangkok City, helping his team with a 121-70 easy win against #4 ranked Adroit in a game of the week. Hitech needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Elliott has a great season in Basketball Champions League Asia. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.5apg (4th best).
