Date: October 24, 2024
Very predictable result in Changwon whereSakers defeated Anyang 68-64 on Thursday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. LG Sakers outrebounded Anyang 41-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Junseok Yang (179-2001) chipped in 22 points and 9 assists. Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-1992, college: UMass) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Jihoon Park (184-1995) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sakers will meet Sono SG in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
