Cathay Life conquered WBSL title. They outlasted Taiyuan in overtime thriller tonight to lift the trophy. Taiyuan Textile was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 15-10 charge of Cathay Life, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-10. Cathay Life made 32-of-37 free shots (86.5 percent) during the game, while Taiyuan T. only scored four points from the stripe. 28 personal fouls committed by Taiyuan T. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Australian center Cayla George (193-1989) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 22 rebounds for the winners. The former international Wei-An Chen (177-1995) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. International center Tieh Lin (182-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Hsiao-Tong Peng (168-1998) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Five Cathay Life and four Taiyuan T. players scored in double figures. Taiyuan Textile's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
