West Asia Super League

Quarter-Finals Round 2: Al Wahda - Sagesse 75-99

Date: March 14, 2024
Sagesse looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Al Wahda's players. American point guard Jonathan Gibson (188-1987, college: NM State) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and South Sudanese-Australian center Deng Acuoth (208-1996) supported him with 10 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks. Five Sagesse players scored in double figures. Even 31 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by American guard Donte McGill (190-1995, college: FIU) did not help to save the game for Al Wahda. Point guard Tarek Aljabi (181-1990) added 16 points and 4 steals for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
