Regular Season Round 30: LG Sakers - Seoul Thunders 86-88

The most exciting game of round 30 in the KBL took place in Changwon. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-bestSakers (25-13) to tenth ranked Samsung Thunders (8-30) 88-86 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sakers. Seoul Thunders looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by LG Sakers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Jamaican center Kofi Cockburn (213-1999, college: Illinois) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Weon-Seok Lee (203-2000) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-1997) with 15 points and 7 assists and Kwan-hee Lee scored 18 points. Five LG Sakers players scored in double figures. Sakers' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Seoul Thunders maintains tenth position with 8-30 record. LG Sakers at the other side keep the second place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Suwon KT.
