The game between Top Four teams took place in Dubai. Second ranked UAE hostShabab Al Ahli (3-1) smashed 4th ranked Qatari Al Shamal (0-4) 110-81 . Shabab Al Ahli dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Al Shamal 's 48. Shabab Al Ahli forced 20 Al Shamal turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Al Shamal 's players. The winners were led by American swingman Chavaughn Lewis (195-1993, college: Marist) who scored that evening 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import Nick Minnerath (207-1988, college: Detroit) supported him with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Shabab Al Ahli players scored in double figures. Shabab Al Ahli's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists by Palestinian-Canadian forward Shane Osayande (200-1993, college: Saskatchewan) did not help to save the game for Al Shamal . Nigerian point guard Uchenna Iroegbu (183-1996, college: Stony Brook) added 27 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Defending UAE champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Al-Muharraq and Kuwait. Al Shamal at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Al Naft.
