Regular Season Round 22: Seoul Thunders - Seoul Knights 76-80

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Seoul:Knights (#3) and Samsung Thunders (#10). Despite it looked like an easy game for Knights, those rules do not exist in derby games. It's more the case of honor for local supporters and such games have that special and unique approach you cannot find in other games. Host Samsung Thunders challenged much higher ranked Knights giving them a very tough game, but finally losing it by four points 80-76 . Seoul Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Samsung Thunders ' 28. American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Sek-Eun Oh (200-1987) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Junghyun Lee (190-1999) scored 18 points and 7 assists. Four Seoul Thunders players scored in double figures. Samsung Thunders' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Knights (18-8) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Seoul Knights maintains third position having seven points less than leader Wonju DB. Loser Samsung Thunders stay dead last with 22 lost games.
