Everything could happen in Seoul at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth rankedSamsung Thunders and 10th ranked KoGas had identical 2-11 record. This time Samsung Thunders used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Inchon 84-63 on Thursday night. Seoul Thunders dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to KoGas ' 44. They outrebounded KoGas 49-35 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Seoul Thunders looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by KoGas ' players. It was a great evening for Jamaican center Kofi Cockburn (213-1999, college: Illinois) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. The former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-1989) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Heon Lee (194-1994) responded with 27 points and Filipino guard Samjosef Belangel (177-1999) scored 18 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Seoul Thunders maintains ninth place with 3-11 record. KoGas lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost.
