KBL top team -Wonju DB (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Samsung Thunders (2-5) in Seoul 94-58 . Wonju DB dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Samsung Thunders ' 40. They outrebounded Samsung Thunders 42-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Wonju DB looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) notched a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and the other American import center Jeff Withey (213-1990, college: Kansas) supported him with 9 points and 11 rebounds. Alvano is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Wonju DB players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by Jamaican center Kofi Cockburn (213-1999, college: Illinois) did not help to save the game for Samsung Thunders . American power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) added 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wonju DB have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Samsung Thunders lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Sono SG.
