Yokohama BC made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Kawasaki BT helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). The other American import Devin Oliver (204-1992, college: Dayton) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Yokohama BC's coach Taketo Aoki used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-1985, college: Nevada) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Yuma Fujii (178-1991) added 21 points and 9 assists respectively for the hosts.
