Regular Season Round 22: Al Ansar - Al Ahli 75-95

Date: March 31, 2023
SBL top team - Al Ahli (20-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Al Ansar (4-18) in Medina 95-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Al Ansar. Al Ahli looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international point guard Marzouq Almuwallad (180-1992) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and American forward Devin Ebanks (206-1989, college: WVU) supported him with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Al Ahli's coach Ali Alsanhani used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists by American center Raymond Miller (204-1988, college: CS Fullerton) did not help to save the game for Al Ansar. His fellow American import power forward Cory Johnson (202-1988, college: Valpo) added 18 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Al Ahli have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-2 record. Loser Al Ansar keeps the tenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Al Taawoun.
