Regular Season Round 38: Anyang - KCC Egis 98-74

KBL top team - Anyang (36-14) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked KCC Egis (22-28) 98-74. Anyang dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to KCC Egis' 28. They outrebounded KCC Egis 43-27 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Anyang players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Park Jihoon (184-1995) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists during the contest. The former international forward Guna Ra (203-1989, college: Missouri) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Junbeom Jeon (195-1991) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anyang maintains first position with 36-14 record. KCC Egis at the other side keep the sixth place with 28 games lost. Anyang will play against Mobis Phoebus (#4) in Ulsan in the next round. KCC Egis will play on the road against Seoul Knights and hope to get back on the winning track.
