Very expected game in Inchon where 9th ranked KoGas (17-32) were edged by third ranked Seoul Knights (31-19) 107-105 on Friday. Seoul Knights looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners and the former international guard Sunh-Yung Kim (187-1988) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. Seoul Knights' coach Hee-Chul Chun allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side the former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-1990, college: BYU-Hawaii) responded with 39 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Seoul Knights have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains third place with 31-19 record having five points less than leader Anyang, which they share with Mobis Phoebus. KoGas lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 32 games lost. Seoul Knights will meet at home Goyang (#5) in the next round. KoGas will have a break next round.
